Jimmy started his passion for jewelry in 1999 after he married and settled in Lake Mary Florida. His passion for creating one-of-a-kind heirloom quality pieces attracted clients who sought the best. Fortune 500 executives, a former Miss America winner, and Major League Baseball players to name a few have sought his unique craftsmanship, ability to find the best in gemstones and diamonds, and his strong attention to detail. With 20 years in the industry, and expertise from many different jewelry store environments, Jimmy is unparalleled in his ability to find and create superlative jewelry no matter the budget.

After realizing Florida was far too hot, he moved circuitously to the wonderfully cool mountains in Asheville where he has worked with the Laughter family for 5 years. He is a staple in our local jewelry community and is known for his excellence in his diamond expertise and his jewelry design and remodeling.

When Jimmy is not devoting himself to his passion at Grant Laughter Jewelry, he sits on the council as treasurer of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, spending time with his family and friends, woodworking and cooking.
